Πολυγλωσσία και Γλωσσική Πολιτική

Κοινωνική Ψυχολόγος, Ομότιμη Καθηγήτρια του ΕΚΠΑ. Διετέλεσε Κοσμήτωρ της Σχολής Επιστημών της Αγωγής και επί πολλές θητείες Πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Εκπαίδευσης και Αγωγής στην Προσχολική Ηλικία. Το ερευνητικό και συγγραφικό της έργο αφορά τη διαπολιτισμική εκπαίδευση, τον εθνοκεντρισμό του εκπαιδευτικού συστήματος, τις κοινωνικές ταυτότητες, την ένταξη προσφύγων, τη μετάβαση στη γονική ιδιότητα, και την κοινωνική συμμετοχή παιδιών. Διήθυνε μαζί με τη  Άννα Φραγκουδάκη επί 22 χρόνια το έργο του Υπουργείου Παιδείας για την εκπαίδευση και την ένταξη των παιδιών της μειονότητας στη Θράκη. Διετέλεσε μέλος της Διοικούσας Eπιτροπής του Eλληνικού Aνοικτού Πανεπιστήμιου, μέλος του Δ.Σ. του Kέντρου Eκπαιδευτικής Έρευνας, Βουλευτής Επικρατείας του ΠΑΣΟΚ και Ειδική Γραμματέας  Εκπαιδευτικού Σχεδιασμού και Διαπολιτισμικής Εκπαίδευσης του Υπουργείου Παιδείας.

Thalia Dragonas: Social psychologist, Professor Emerita, NKUA. She served as Dean of School of Education and, for several terms, as Chair of the Department of Early Childhood Education. Her research interests and publications focus on intercultural education, the ethnocentrism of the educational system, social identities, refugee integration, transition to parenthood and child participation. She directed, together with Anna Frangoudaki, a 22-year Ministry of Education project on Muslim minority education and social integration in Thrace.  Recent publications: Dragonas et al, «Language is Freedom: A Multimodal Intervention Empowering the Muslim Minority in Greece”, The International Journal of Learning, 2019 that received the International Award of Excellence of the Learner Journal Collection; Intercultural Education: Empowering  Minority Learners in S. She was member of the Steering Committee of the Greek Open University and of the Center of Educational Research; State MP with the Socialist Party (PASOK); and Special Secretary on Educational Planning and Intercultural Education at the Greek Ministry of Education.
